Mutus Italian Kitchen in Durango

Delicious, fresh, Italian food. Had the tortellini and the shrimp scampi.

Nice happy hour with half price appetizers off the regular menu and reasonable drink and wine prices. Couch and conversation pit in front atrium. Nice.

I love Italian food and I've been to many authentic Italian Restaurants but none have been as amazing as Mutu's. The wait staff were all kind and accomadating. I am disabled and have a service dog. We came at dinner time and it was jammed packed. They sat us at a great spot, kept our drinks full, there was 10 of us to keep up with. All of our orders were spot on and mouth watering. We stayed until after they were closed but they brought us dinner, quietly cleaned (not around us) and stayed aware of our needs. Huge plates, I took over half of my meal home. Great place to dine, I highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent food and a great atmosphere. We sat outside and had a view of the mountains overlooking downtown Durango. It was perfect.

I do not give out 5 star restaurant ratings easily. I'm by no means a critic but I'm picky. This place is clean, and has a beautiful interior. It was a great date for my husband and I, we loved the setting.The food was delicious. I had the chicken tortellini and I didn't feel the need to alter it at all. For me thats amazing. The potato masters I ordered on the side were a little bland but I'm pregnant and a salt fiend for my mashed potatoes. We had the brownie for desert and it was DEVINE. Rich enough to share with another and feel like enough. The prices were a little on the high side for us but I felt like the portions and quality made it very worth it. Thanks for the great meal on our last night in Colorado Mutu's!

Great food, great service. Manager squeezed us in a moments notice, if we didn't mind being part of a private party area. It didn't bother us or them and it was a great time.

Food, drinks, and service were excellent, despite the COVID-19 concerns. It was one of few places offering dine-in service in Durango. Prices were reasonable. I ordered a chicken parmesaigna , which is normally plain dish, but they added some chili/spice which greatly increased the flavor. Highly recommend this place. Drinks were also good and reasonably priced. The place also has an outdoor patio.

The food and service was fantastic! We sat on the patio and enjoyed the ambiance. When in Durango we would love to visit this restaurant again!

I love this place! The service is always great, and the food is always amazing. Probably the best place for pasta in Durango.. I like the stuffed shells with garlic cream sauce instead of whatever sauce it comes with. The cheese tortellini with chicken is also awesome and my boyfriend loves the chicken parmesan.

We had a delicious dinner during Snowdown. The service was great & the food outstanding. It was our first time here & we will definitely return!

A lovely little restaurant just a block off of Main Street that has great, authentic food on a great atmosphere and a comfortable, shaded patio. The service was also very fast and a friendly staff.

The lasagna and Caesar salad were fantastic! Server was very nice and attentive.

I loved this place! Great food, drinks and a wonderful atmosphere.

The food was amazing.. However the service was god awful. Me and my boyfriend both work in the industry and its sad when we usually tip 20%+ and had a hard time leaving that tonight. Our waiter Aaron told everyone around us the specials and offered them fresh parm for their dishes but we don’t even get offered a second round of drinks? Please know he lost you money and customers. The buser/ food runner took better care of us then our waiter. That’s just sad. If he basis his service on appearance and age he’s doing it all wrong.

Great food! It was my sons birthday and he is not into desserts, except vanilla ice cream. The waiter bought him a vanilla gelato, it was great!

I cant even begin to explain how good the food was! Our server, Rachel, was also amazing. She got us a table immediately and was attentive the entire evening. Thanks Rachel!

The food was tasty and I appreciated the work the staff did to make us comfortable - I had my almost 5 year old with me. The portion size for "little appetites" was bigger than expected so we came home with a lot of leftovers.I enjoyed the lemon shrimp scampi and their bread starter was delicious.This is a great venue for large parties, families, and romantic dates. The picture, taken by my kiddo, is of the balcony seating, which looks like a quiet spot for couples.

I did not take any pictures of the delicious salmon champagne, spaghetti or fettuccine Alfredo. All delicious! And the service beyond great! The kids plates are really big! So if you have little ones, you might want to share. The soup of the day was salmon bisque and was delish!!! Enjoy!

Food was very good, service was excellent (Zach was the server's name), really nice atmosphere. Online menu shows some items, that were not on the menu inside. Had a couple of local micro brews on tap as well.

I ordered the beef medallions medium rare, but they came out quote raw. I asked our server to send them back, but they still came out under cooked. However, the server was extremely apologetic and took them off the bill. As we were getting up to leave, the general manager approached our table and also apologized for the undercooked meat. He said he would speak to the sous chef and make sure there was a clear understanding of the problem. My fiancé’s meal was cooked perfectly as were the appetizers and rest of my meal. The service was excellent and we will definitely return.

It was a great experience. My wife and I both got seafood pasta and really enjoyed it. I had the pistachio crusted Mahi I think and my wife had a shrimp pasta dish. We really enjoyed both. They had a nice tea selection and the service was excellent. The veggies were a little on the simple side but honestly it was nice having a healthy side after all the heavy food in Durango. The restaurant atmosphere was very pleasant and had great music playing in the background. Dessert was excellent. Anytime we're in town we're definitely making a stop here.

Our waiter Ryan was very attentive. The atmosphere was lovely and we really enjoyed our dinners.

We dined here for brithday dinner..Dec 2019 The atmosphere was great! The food was absolutely delicious......I personally had the beef medallions and they actually melted in my mouth ! Appetizers we had at the bar along with some drinks and appetizers fabulous as well.. I did not try everyone's food but There were no complaints or dislike with any of the foods..Priced well for the type of cooking you will appreciate..Planning on dining there in March 2020 another birthday celebration!

This place is to die for! The chief clearly knows what he/she is doing. The service was super great and the atmosphere was fun! The food was just incredible! The facilities were nice and the although the price was expensive it was totally worth it! The portions were also the perfect size for one person, not too big and not too small! I would totally be excited to come back here if we pass though here again and I would recommend this place to others.

No wait to get a table. The food was ok. It was a bit expensive for mediocre food. Waitress was sweet but rarely came by the table to offer refills and it took quite a while to get the check. There was another waitress that walked by with a pitcher of water and my husband tried to ask her for a refill or to get our waitress and she just walked right by. There was no way she didn't see or hear him as she walked right next to him and was looking at him.

We have never been disappointed with what we ordered at Mutus, that is until last night. Won't give up on it until we try it one more time but for whatever reason it has been changed, please put it back.

Atmosphere is great. Prompt attentive service. Good wind. I had the chicken tortellini. Grilled chicken was dry & tough. Best part of the dish was the sauce. Salad was delicious. And the basil/dried tomato butter for bread was a pleasant surprise.

We enjoyed a fantastic dinner, the staff was attentive and conducted them selves in a manner conducive to a high end establishment. The food was well prepared and pleasant to the palette. The price was far less than I expected for such a pleasant dining experience.

Need to handle to-go orders better. When I arrived I had no idea where to pick up my order. The staff weren’t friendly or helpful. This is the first time I’ve been disappointed with my meal as well.

Ten of us had dinner here in mid-July. The food was great and very fresh.The salads are the best in Durango. All the men were satisfied with theirmain dishes. The wait staff was very attentive and able to take care of our large group. Great experience!

Destiny was a very good server. The music was terrific to add to the atmosphere. Food quality was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
